I’m Emma Jean, and family photography is at the heart of my work. Based in a warm, private studio in Clydach (Swansea area), I specialise in creating relaxed, authentic family portraits that celebrate the real moments — the giggles, the cuddles and the everyday connections that make your family unique. My approach is friendly, easygoing and child-centred. I encourage families to be themselves and work at a pace that suits little ones. Whether we’re capturing tiny newborn features, the confident smile of a toddler, or the playful energy of siblings, my focus is always on making people feel comfortable so genuine expressions shine through. I’m fully baby-led with newborns and careful to create an environment where parents and babies feel safe and cared for. Studio sessions are designed around you: thoughtful set-ups using real props and natural styling, gentle posing, and plenty of time to settle children so we get relaxed, natural images rather than forced smiles. I love simple, timeless compositions that put relationships first — portraits you’ll want to display at home and keep for generations. Working with me is personal and straightforward. I take time to get to know your family before you arrive, I guide children with warmth (and a few games), and I move at your child’s pace. Many parents tell me they appreciate the calm, confident approach and how I gently coax out authentic moments without pressure. I also photograph maternity and portrait sessions, so you can capture the whole family journey — from pregnancy to newborn cuddles to growing milestones.
