Hello and welcome — I’m Abbie, a Larkhall-based family photographer who loves capturing the small, honest moments that make your family unique. Family photography is at the heart of my work: I specialise in creating relaxed, natural portraits of families, babies, newborns and children that you’ll want to live with and look back on for years to come. My approach is warm, unobtrusive and personal. I aim to put everyone at ease so real connections and candid smiles come through — not stiff poses. Whether we’re working together in my cosy home studio in Overtown or out on location among the Clyde Valley hills, I favour natural light, calm direction and a creative eye that highlights personality and relationships. I bring years of experience and a patient, child-friendly manner to every session. For newborn shoots I use a gentle, lifestyle-led approach and a pre-shoot checklist to help parents prepare — the goal is comfort for baby and peace of mind for you. With toddlers and older children I lean into games, movement and humour to capture authentic expressions rather than forced smiles. Cake-smash and birthday sessions are a fun way to mark milestones and create joyful, colourful keepsakes. Working with me is simple and collaborative. Before the shoot we’ll discuss your vision, location ideas and what matters most: heirloom portraits, playful candids or a mix of both. On the day I focus on making the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable; many clients tell me how surprised they are at how quickly the kids settle and how naturally moments unfold. After the session I carefully edit the images to reflect the tone we created together, delivering a selection that tells the story of your family.
