I’m Leanne du Plessis and family photography is at the heart of what I do. Based near Yateley with a warm, ground-floor barn-conversion studio in Eversley, I create natural, timeless portraits that reflect who you are as a family. My approach blends relaxed, personal direction with a calm, patient atmosphere so children and babies feel safe, comfortable and genuinely themselves. Why choose me? I treat every family session as a chance to tell your story — whether we’re capturing newborn details, a playful toddler session, golden-hour outdoor portraits, or multi-generational family images. My clients tell me they value the stress-free, homely environment in the studio (with parking, baby-change facilities and light refreshments) and the thoughtful styling and guidance I provide before the shoot. My style is natural, timeless and emotive. I favour soft, flattering light and a neutral palette that sits beautifully in the home. For outdoor shoots I often choose locations and times that give beautiful ambient light — late afternoon or golden hour — to capture relaxed, candid moments as much as softly posed portraits. I bring a selection of outfits and props, plus styling advice, to help your images feel cohesive and true to your family. How we work together: after you enquire we’ll have a pre-shoot conversation to discuss wardrobe, locations and the images you want to create. Sessions are family-led and baby-led — newborn sessions can take longer as we follow your baby’s needs — and I always focus on creating a calm, enjoyable experience for everyone. Within around two weeks of your shoot you’ll be invited back to the studio for a viewing and ordering appointment where we’ll choose the images and finished artwork that suit your home. I love capturing the small things — gummy smiles, tiny toes, sibling bonds and the everyday moments that become treasures.
