Jenny Burrows is a specialist family photographer in South Ruislip, creating relaxed outdoor and at‑home sessions that capture real emotions, playful moments and growing-up stories.
I’m Jenny, a West London mum and family photographer who specialises in outdoor and at‑home family portraiture. Based in South Ruislip, I’ve spent more than a decade photographing families as they grow — from newborn cuddles to lively toddler adventures and playful children’s portraits. My work focuses on real emotions, wild adventures and the small everyday moments that become your favourite memories. Why choose me? My approach is relaxed and natural: I guide families rather than stage them. I love locations that invite exploring — parks, woods, gardens or the corners of your home where life actually happens. Whether we’re capturing a newborn settling into family life, a first birthday with cake, or children climbing trees at sunset, I aim to create images that feel honest, joyful and full of personality. Clients come to me because they want photos that look like them, not a posed photoshoot, and because they trust me to calm the chaos and bring out genuine smiles. What makes my sessions special is the combination of atmosphere and experience. As a mum of twins I know how to work with energetic little ones, soothe babies when needed and include every family member — even the grumpy teenager or grandparent who “doesn’t like photos.” I use playful prompts, games and plenty of movement to keep everyone engaged, and I adapt each session to your family’s rhythm so the children lead the way. How we’ll work together: we start with a friendly chat about your ideas and favourite places. I’ll suggest locations and a relaxed plan, we’ll agree a time that suits little ones, and on the day I’ll create a calm, fun environment where you can be yourselves. After the shoot I carefully edit your images into a gallery that tells the story of your family — the candid laughs, the quiet cuddles and the little details you’ll want to look back on. I love helping families hold on to this fleeting time. If you’d like natural, vibrant family portraits with a story-led approach, get in touch — I’d love to hear about your family and the moments you want to remember.
