I’m Martin Lea — an award‑winning family portrait photographer based in Perry Vale and East Dulwich. Family photography is my core focus: I love slowing the pace down long enough to catch those small, true moments that become the images you’ll live with for years. Whether it’s a newborn session, a children’s portrait, a maternity moment or a family gathering such as a christening or birthday, I approach every shoot with the same calm, professional care. Over the years I’ve developed an approach that helps even the most camera‑shy family members feel comfortable. I take time to understand why you want the photos and what you want them to feel like — then guide the session so you get natural, expressive images rather than staged poses. How I work: I keep the process simple and collaborative. Before the shoot we plan together — location or studio, outfit ideas and any special moments you want captured. On the day I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere where children can be themselves and parents can enjoy the experience. After the session I deliver edited images for your selection and can produce hand‑made, high quality photographic prints so your favourite images can hang on your wall. I also make a point of giving back: for each family photoshoot booked I donate a session to the Alzheimer’s Society (details available when you book). What makes my sessions different is attention to detail and consistency: I plan, shoot and spend considerable time in post‑production to ensure colours, tones and composition feel just right. I’m a member of the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and shoot primarily with Canon, editing in Lightroom and Photoshop — but my real focus is on the people in front of the lens. I cover Perry Vale, East Dulwich, and Greater London and I’m happy to travel further for special shoots.
