Hi, I’m Chris Burch — Somerset Photographer based in Mendip. Family photography is at the heart of what I do. My style is natural, light, colourful, fun and beautiful: I aim to bring out genuine smiles, tiny details and everyday connections that make your family unique. Why choose me for your family photoshoot? I have a natural ability to connect with people quickly, which helps even camera-shy children relax. Whether it’s a newborn cuddle, a playful toddler moment or a joyful multi-generation portrait, I work quietly and kindly to capture the real you. My sessions blend posed and candid images so you’ll leave with a varied, honest collection that feels like your family. How I work: I’ll usually start with a friendly chat to understand what you want from the photoshoot and to pick the best location — my cosy log-cabin studio in Glastonbury (Mendip) or a favourite outdoor spot nearby. Bring favourite toys, change of clothes or props if you like; I have props available too. Sessions are relaxed and fun, with plenty of time for natural moments to happen. I focus on creating a calm atmosphere so children can be themselves and parents can actually enjoy the experience. What you receive: After the session your images are edited with care and uploaded to a private online gallery where you can download high-resolution files. From there you can order prints, canvases or other products if you wish. I offer options such as USB delivery and gift vouchers for sessions — everything is designed to make your photos easy to share and beautifully displayed at home. I specialise in family, newborn, baby and children photography across Mendip and the surrounding Somerset area. My goal is simple: to create warm, lasting images you’ll treasure — photos that feel like home.
