I’m Steve, the photographer behind 53 North Photography — based in Lofthouse and working across Yorkshire. Family photography is one of my core passions: I aim to capture honest, relaxed moments that show the real character of your family. My approach is shaped by years working in both analogue and digital photography, a love of light and storytelling, and a belief that the best family portraits are made when everyone feels comfortable and themselves. I’ll offer simple styling hints and guidance so your images feel timeless and work beautifully on your walls. On the day I work at the pace of the family: relaxed, flexible and fun. For energetic children I use games and gentle prompts to create real moments; for quieter groups I take a patient, observational approach. After your session I deliver a private online gallery so you can choose the images that mean the most, and I can help with prints or wall art if you want framed memories to hang at home.
