I’m Jonny — a family photographer who believes the best pictures are the ones that make you feel something. Based in the Leatherhead area and working across Surrey, I specialise in natural, expressive family photography through my Jonny MP Juniors sessions. Having photographed over 250 families since 2011, I know how to capture those fleeting, honest moments that become the photographs you’ll treasure. My approach is anything but stiff or overly posed. I favour a mix of portrait-led moments and documentary-style images that show how your family really is — laughing, playful, tender and true. For babies and newborns I bring the session into your home for a calm, comfortable shoot that tells the story of your new addition in the environment you know best. For toddlers and older children I often recommend outdoor sessions where they can run, explore and be themselves while I catch the split-second magic. What sets my work apart is my focus on light, emotion and atmosphere. I’m a little obsessed with great light — golden-hour portraits and gentle window light are staples in my book — and I’ll always look for that ethereal, emotive glow that lifts an image from nice to unforgettable. Couples and parents often tell me they appreciate how relaxed and patient I am around children; being a dad myself, I bring calm energy, a sense of fun and lots of patience to every session. Working with me is simple and friendly. We’ll have a pre-shoot chat so I can understand what you want and offer tips on timing and what to wear, then on the day I create a relaxed atmosphere where real interactions can happen. After the shoot I carefully edit your images in my signature style and present them in a private online gallery for easy viewing and sharing.
