Hi, I’m Leonie — the face behind Bluebell and Lace Photography. Based just outside Kingston upon Hull in my purpose-built North Ferriby studio, I specialise in family photography and creating timeless family portraits you’ll want to live with and pass down through generations. I started this business inspired by my four children, and that family-first perspective shapes everything I do: from the way I listen to your stories to how I capture the small, honest moments that make your family unique. My studio has been designed with families in mind: it’s cosy, calming and stocked with a client closet of dresses and accessories to help you feel your best. Pets are welcome too, because I know they’re part of the family and often make a portrait feel complete. My style is all about authentic connection and timeless simplicity. I aim to capture natural interactions, warm smiles and the in-between moments that tell your family’s story. With nearly two decades of experience working with children and families, and as a mum myself, I’ve learned how to read little ones, calm nerves, and coax out genuine expressions without forcing poses. Working together is simple and personal. We’ll have a friendly conversation before your session to plan styling and discuss any special needs — I’m inclusive and happy to accommodate additional requirements. On the day you can relax while I lead gentle, fun prompts to get natural images. After the shoot, we’ll view your gallery together so you can choose the photographs and wall art that best suit your home — I’ll help you visualise display options so your images become treasured pieces of your everyday life.
