Hi — I’m Kat (Katrina Shannon), a Kidderminster family photographer who believes the best portraits are the ones that feel effortless and true to you. As a mum myself I know how quickly family life changes; my aim is to capture those everyday connections so your photos become treasured memories you’ll love to live with. My approach is relaxed and natural. I prefer to let real moments unfold — laughter between siblings, gentle closeness between parents and baby, the small gestures that tell your family’s story. Sessions take place outdoors or in a studio-style setting depending on the mood you want: sunlit, candid walks and play in local locations, or a calm, posed studio look for classic portraits. Dresses, outfits and props are available for babies and young children so you can arrive ready to create something special. I photograph all generations — from toddlers and children to newborns and full family groups — with a patient, gentle style designed to keep everyone comfortable. For newborns I work slowly and lovingly to capture those first quiet moments alongside the family, and for older children I use fun prompts and playful direction so we get authentic expressions rather than stiff poses. Working with me is simple and personal. We start with a friendly consultation to plan location, timing and styling so you know exactly what to expect. On the day I create a calm atmosphere and guide you naturally through each shot; afterwards you’re invited to view your images, choose favourites and order prints or wall art to display at home.
