With more than 16 years behind the camera and a BA HONS in primary education, I bring a calm, patient approach that both children and parents find reassuring. My work is rooted in lifestyle photography — natural light, gentle direction and an emphasis on honest emotion rather than stiff posing. My focus is families, babies, newborns and children. Whether you’d like a relaxed in‑home newborn session, a playful outdoor childhood shoot among the Lake District’s landscapes, or a birthday milestone collection in the warm light of a local bakery, I tailor each session to suit your family’s rhythm. I love working at your pace, offering guidance on clothing and locations, and taking as many breaks as little ones need. That relaxed atmosphere consistently produces the candid smiles, curiosity and gentle interactions that make images timeless. I believe the best photographs are a collaboration. Before we meet I’ll take time to understand what matters to you — the images you need for your walls, the moments you don’t want to forget, and the style that suits your home. On the day I create a friendly, unhurried space where children feel respected and free to be themselves. I prefer natural light and carefully chosen locations in and around Kendal and the Lakes to keep the look authentic, organic and beautiful. Seasonal childhood mini shoots and special milestone sessions are a lovely way to document your family as it grows. I also offer portrait sessions for teenagers and adults who want a relaxed, thoughtful portrait experience.
