I’m Anna, a family photographer based in Hoyland Nether (Barnsley area) and I specialise in relaxed, natural family photography. As a mum myself, I know how quickly childhood passes — that’s why I focus on capturing real smiles, quiet connections and the little unscripted moments that make your family unique. My work is driven by a love of beautiful light, simple composition and honest storytelling so your images feel timeless, not trendy. What makes my approach different is how I blend gentle guidance with a calm, friendly atmosphere. I don’t expect you to know how to pose — I’m there to help you relax, find flattering light and encourage natural interaction. Sessions are playful and unhurried so children can be themselves, and I often capture those sweet in-between moments: a hand on a shoulder, a belly laugh, or a sleepy cuddle. Families tend to describe my style as warm, authentic and full of personality. I shoot both outdoors around Barnsley and nearby locations and in my cosy home studio. Outdoor sessions let us use the changing colours of Yorkshire and wide-open spaces for candid shots; studio or in-home sessions offer a calmer environment that’s perfect for younger children or a more intimate feel. Wherever we shoot, my priority is creating an experience that feels easy and enjoyable for everyone involved.
