I'm Jess, the face behind Jessica Holt Photography — a specialist family photographer based in Hitchin, Bedfordshire. My work is built around one simple belief: real connection makes the magic happen. As a mum myself, I know how quickly childhood moves, and my aim is to create relaxed, beautiful photographs that feel like you and that you'll want on your walls for years to come. My approach is calm, friendly and unfussy. I work with a mixture of natural, candid moments and gently guided portraits so that your family can be themselves — not put on a performance. I love using soft natural light and warm, pastel tones to produce bright, timeless images that feel fresh and full of life. Whether you're bringing little ones, babies or a newborn, my priority is to make everyone feel comfortable and to capture the playful, honest moments that tell your family's story. Working with me is like welcoming a friend into your family for an afternoon. I take time to get to know you ahead of your session — we chat about locations you love, the outfits that photograph well and the little things that make your family unique. On the day I keep things relaxed and fun, giving gentle direction when needed so even camera-shy children relax and show their personalities. My composition and editing are purposefully timeless, designed to look beautiful now and in decades to come. I photograph families across Hitchin, Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas, and I'm always happy to travel further for special sessions. While family photography is my specialism, I also work with expecting parents on maternity sessions and capture newborn moments with the same soft, natural aesthetic.
