I’m Chantal, the photographer behind Beauty & Lifestyle Captured, and family photography is at the heart of what I do. With over a decade of experience and the eye of a lifelong ‘people watcher’, I specialise in relaxed, natural family portraits that feel genuine rather than staged. My aim is simple: to capture your story so that when you look back, you remember the feeling, not just the moment. My approach is documentary-led yet thoughtfully composed. I combine candid, emotive images with a few gentle, posed portraits to show the real dynamics of your family — the laughter, the quiet connections, the little things that make you, you. I favour outdoor locations within 40 minutes of Hereford and often time sessions around golden hour to use soft, atmospheric light that complements my cinematic, emotive style. Sessions with me are intentionally relaxed. I work with parents and children in a way that keeps the littles happy and engaged — no long lists of awkward poses, just prompts, play, and patient direction so personalities shine through. As a mother of three, I know how to read a child’s mood, how to slow things down, and how to create a calm, encouraging atmosphere that leads to authentic smiles and honest moments. While family work is my specialty, I also photograph newborns and babies with the same sensitive, natural style.
