Hello — I’m Aurelie, the photographer behind Little Toad Photography, based in Hazel Grove. I specialise in family photography, working outdoors, at home and in my arty studio to capture the real, unscripted moments that make your family unique. My style is relaxed, bright and story-driven: I look for the little gestures, the shared smiles and the wild, genuine play that tell your family’s story. My photography began as a mother’s hobby and grew from there. I trained, practiced and developed a gentle, observational approach that puts children (and their grown-ups) at ease. That patience and eye for everyday beauty mean I’m comfortable with newborns in their first days, playful toddlers, school-age children and whole family groups. I favour natural light and simple compositions so your images feel timeless and warm — photos you will want to print and live with on your walls. Working with me is informal and friendly. I start by listening: where do you feel most yourselves — a favourite park, your garden, or at home where bedtime stories and breakfast messes make the best memories? On location I keep things fun and flexible, letting children lead when they want to and gently guiding when you’d like a posed shot. My aim is to create a relaxed atmosphere where laughter and connection happen naturally; parents often tell me how much their children enjoyed the session and how the photos become treasured reminders of a moment in time. I photograph newborns and babies with particular care, capturing those quiet, fleeting early days without forcing poses — and I love photographing children’s personalities as they grow. While family photography is my core focus, I also occasionally capture pets alongside their families, ensuring the whole household’s character is represented.
