Hi, I’m Katie — a Hartlepool-based family photographer dedicated to capturing the honest, everyday moments that make your family unique. As a specialist in family photography I focus on newborns, babies, children and family portraits, plus milestone shoots such as baptisms, communions and birthdays. My work is rooted in storytelling: I look for the small gestures, spontaneous smiles and quiet connections that become the images you’ll want to keep forever. My approach is gentle, relaxed and personal. I always start with a conversation so I understand what matters to you — whether that’s cosy, posed portraits or a more candid, documentary-style session. For newborns I work patiently and safely, letting your baby set the pace while using simple wraps, blankets and timeless props to create classic images. With children I prefer to let play and curiosity lead the session; this helps capture authentic expressions and natural interaction rather than stiff poses. Location is part of the story. Based in Hartlepool and the North East, I photograph families in familiar local spots and at comfortable home environments, wherever you and your loved ones feel most relaxed. I also run seasonal themed sessions (Christmas, Halloween and other themed shoots), which are perfect for holiday cards and family keepsakes. If your family includes a fur baby, I’m happy to include them too — they’re part of the family story. Working with me is simple and supportive.
