Hi — I’m Emma Jane, a Harrogate-based family photographer who loves photographing people. Family photography is my passion and my speciality: I focus on capturing the real, candid moments that make your family unique rather than forcing stiff, formal poses. My background in photography (BA Hons) and almost four years of professional experience give me the technical know-how to handle everything from soft newborn light to fast-moving toddlers. But what really sets my work apart is how I work with people: I’m patient, empathetic and fun — I’ll guide you gently, keep things relaxed and let the real interactions do the storytelling. I believe laughter and small, unscripted moments have the most heart, so I shoot lots of candid frames alongside gentle, directed poses so everyone looks and feels like themselves. Sessions take place in my bright, welcoming studio in Harrogate or on-location if you prefer a natural outdoor backdrop. I create a calm, baby-led environment for newborns and younger children, and I always bring a selection of simple props and styling options when they’re helpful.
