My style is warm, classic and quietly expressive. I favour careful composition and exquisite use of light to create photographs with lasting character. Over many years of photographing families I’ve learned how to put children and parents at ease, to find those spontaneous interactions and small expressions that tell your family’s story — not just on the day, but for generations to come. Working with me is a collaborative and personal experience. I start with a pre-session conversation so I fully understand what matters to you — the look and mood you prefer, any treasured items you’d like included, and how to make the session enjoyable for every family member. On the day I provide a warm, welcoming atmosphere and gentle direction to help everyone feel comfortable. I photograph in my studio or on location, tailoring each shoot to your family’s personality and needs. As a member of the Society for Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the Newborn Art Academy — and with work featured internationally — I bring professional training and care to every shoot. Newborns and young children are handled with the utmost attention and safety. After the session I guide you through a viewing to select the images and artwork that best preserve your memories, from archival prints and framed art to heirloom albums and digital files.
