I’m Katy — owner and photographer behind Katy Jordan Photography — and family photography is at the heart of what I do. Based in Great Sankey with a bespoke, cosy studio in Warrington, I specialise in relaxed, natural family photoshoots that focus on connection rather than posed perfection. My aim is simple: to create timeless portraits you’ll want to live with and pass on. My approach is gentle, warm and unhurried. As a mum myself I understand how unpredictable family life can be, so I design sessions to feel calm and enjoyable for everyone involved. Whether you prefer the controlled comfort of the studio or a soft sunset field location, I encourage you to be yourselves — share a joke, a tickle or a quiet moment — and I’ll capture the real emotions in between. My camera bag always has a few tricks for entertaining little ones; bubbles, small treats and playful prompts help natural smiles and candid interactions to shine through. Styling plays a big role in creating images that stand the test of time. I guide every client with a clear styling guide and a carefully curated wardrobe of neutral, organic outfits and rompers for babies. Floaty, natural fabrics for mum, collarless shirts and relaxed pieces for the rest of the family keep the focus on faces and feelings rather than trends. This considered styling ensures your images remain classic and personal for years to come. The experience continues after the shoot. I’m passionate about helping families choose beautiful wall art and keepsakes that become part of your home — it’s one of the most rewarding parts of my work to see finished pieces hung where they’ll be treasured daily. While family work is my speciality, I also capture babies, newborns and milestone moments as part of the family story.
