Hi — I’m Magda, the photographer behind Cool Kids Photo Studio in Linden, Gloucester. Family photography is my specialist focus: I love documenting the small, truthful moments that tell the story of your family. My work sits between editorial clarity and honest storytelling — I aim for portraits that feel genuine, calm and timeless rather than staged or overly posed. My photography journey began as a mum and grew into a studied craft — I trained in Editorial & Advertising Photography at the University of Gloucestershire and was selected for the international Canon Student Development Programme. Those experiences shaped the way I approach family shoots: thoughtfully composed images with an emphasis on emotion, natural light and connection. What makes my approach different is the balance between gentle direction and documentary observation. I create a relaxed, child-friendly atmosphere in the studio so siblings can be themselves and shy children feel safe. I use simple prompts, quiet conversation and playful moments to bring out real expressions. Whether we’re working in my Gloucester studio or on location nearby, I watch for spontaneous interactions and small details that reveal personality — the look between parent and child, a laugh, a quiet moment. I also create project work that reflects my values — projects like “I Wanna Be” and “Poland” have helped me connect with local families and children while giving my photography a meaningful community purpose.
