I’m Justine — the face behind Berties Photography — and family photography is my passion and speciality. Based in Farnborough and working across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, I specialise in creating relaxed, natural portraits that capture the real personalities and connections inside your family. I know how awkward photos can feel, which is why my sessions are designed for camera‑shy people: friendly, playful and completely unforced. My approach is simple: I get to know you first. Before every shoot I send a pre‑shoot questionnaire so I can tailor the session to your family’s rhythms, favourite places and what makes you laugh. Whether it’s an at‑home newborn session, a muddy‑boot woodland walk with the kids, or a candid birthday or baptism shoot, I hang out with you, ask gentle questions and use games and prompts to create genuine moments rather than stiff poses. I bring years of training and experience to every family photoshoot — lighting, flattering angles and creative direction — but my favourite skill is putting people at ease. Parents, toddlers, teens and waggy‑tailed dogs often end up assuming I’m an old friend by the end of the session. That relaxed atmosphere is what lets me capture those honest smiles, quiet snuggles and the little in‑between moments you’ll want to remember. My work includes newborn and baby photography, shoots with children, and family celebrations such as baptisms, communions and birthdays. I focus on producing images you’ll actually want to see on your walls, not lost on a hard drive.
