I’m Charlie — the face behind Charlie May Photography — and I specialise in family photography from my home studio near Egham and out on location across Surrey. My work is rooted in a desire to capture real family life: the small, candid moments, the laughter between siblings and the quiet, loving glances that make up your story. Before turning to photography full time I spent ten years working as a nanny. That hands-on experience with children taught me patience, playfulness and how to put little ones (and their grown-ups) at ease. It’s a gentle, child-first approach: I follow your child’s lead, create a relaxed atmosphere and coax out the authentic expressions that become treasured family portraits. I offer comfortable studio sessions and natural outdoors shoots so you can choose the setting that suits your family. In the studio we build bright, themed shoots that are fun and personal; outdoors we use local scenic spots for relaxed, lifestyle images that feel like you.
