I’m Bozena Joanna Sirvinskiene — Joanna — a mum of two and a Derby-based specialist in family photography. My approach is simple: slow down, make space for connection, and capture the real moments that make your family unique. Whether we’re in my cosy home studio or wandering a favourite outdoor spot, I focus on gentle direction and honest storytelling so your photos feel natural, warm and full of emotion. As a family photography specialist I prioritise comfort and ease. I work with parents and children of all ages, using a relaxed, conversational style that helps even the most camera-shy family members feel at ease. I guide rather than pose, creating playful prompts and quiet pauses that bring out genuine smiles, silly interactions and the tender, everyday gestures you’ll want to remember. Pets are welcome too — they’re part of the family and often bring out the most authentic moments. My sessions are tailored to your family’s personality. Some families love soft, timeless portraits in neutral tones; others prefer playful, colourful images or golden-hour outdoor portraits that feel like a storybook. I bring props and outfits when they suit the session, but I always keep the focus on the relationships and the simple moments: holding hands, shared laughter, cosy cuddles. Working with me is easy and friendly. I create a calm atmosphere where children can be themselves, and I make sure parents can relax and enjoy the time together. After the session you’ll receive a private online gallery to view your images and choose your favourites — I then professionally edit the selected photos so they look and feel timeless.
