Hi, I’m Kathryn — the face behind Bumblebugs Photography. Based in Darton and proudly serving Barnsley and South Yorkshire, I specialise in family photography with a warm, playful approach that puts everyone at ease. Bumblebugs is a multi-award-winning, internationally published studio born from a lifelong passion for capturing people. My favourite sessions are the ones full of laughter, little moments and the honest connections that make each family unique. I position Bumblebugs as a family specialist because that’s where my heart and experience lie. From expecting parents to newborns joining the fold, and through the toddler years and beyond, I focus on creating images that feel authentic rather than overly posed. My sessions are personalised around your family’s personality — from the colours and props to the mood and backdrop — so every gallery reflects who you are at this moment. Working with children requires patience, imagination and a calm studio atmosphere. I bring all three. I aim to make the experience fun and relaxed: gentle direction, playful prompts and plenty of time for real smiles. When babies and newborns are part of the shoot, you can also feel reassured by my newborn safety training, DBS check and full insurance — experience and safety are a core part of how I care for growing families.
