I’m Sarah Stevens, a Cambridge-based family photographer who specialises in relaxed, natural family lifestyle photography. My work centres on capturing the ordinary, joyful moments that tell the real story of your family — the laughter between siblings, quiet cuddles, and spontaneous play. I believe the best portraits come when people feel comfortable and free to be themselves, so my sessions are friendly, informal and gently directed rather than staged. Whether we meet at one of my favourite local spots around Cambridgeshire or I come to your home, my priority is to create an atmosphere where everyone — from grandparents to the tiniest toddler — can relax and enjoy the time together. Before our shoot I’ll chat with you about what you want to remember, suggest locations that suit your family and season, and talk through outfit choices or meaningful props you might want to include. My aim is to produce a varied gallery of images that reflect your family’s personality: candid interactions, playful moments and a few simple posed portraits for keepsakes. I have a calm, playful approach when working with children and always follow the rhythm of the family. Sessions are family-led so we leave time for real moments to unfold—whether that’s a game on the swings, a walk through the fields, or a cosy story at home. I also offer styling support and can arrange hair & make-up to help you feel extra special for the shoot when desired. After the session you’ll receive a beautifully presented selection of professionally edited images, plus guidance on creating wall art and albums if you wish to turn your favourites into lasting keepsakes.
