I specialise in family photography from my Broadstairs studio, and my work is all about capturing the small, honest moments that grow into lifelong memories. Since 1995 I’ve built a practice around a simple promise: no gimmicks, no hard sell — just professional, creative photography that reflects who you are as a family. Families return to AG Studio time and again because I combine technical skill with a calm, friendly approach that puts everyone at ease. My style is relaxed and personal. I take the time to get to know you, chat about ideas, and create an atmosphere where children can be themselves and parents can relax. For newborn and baby sessions I work gently and patiently — newborn photography is best when babies are sleepy and settled — and I take the breaks needed for feeding and comfort. For toddlers and older children I use a mix of studio and location work to capture playful, natural moments rather than stiff, posed images. From christenings and birthdays to milestone portrait sessions, I bring thirty years of professional experience to every shoot. I aim to create images that look contemporary, feel honest and will still mean something in years to come. My technical background (starting in film photography) means I focus on light, composition and craft so every print and digital file has the quality you expect. How I work: a friendly pre-shoot conversation to plan outfits and locations, a relaxed session where I guide but never force, and a calm viewing appointment so you can choose the images you love. I keep things simple and transparent — my clients often comment on the low-pressure experience and the care I take, particularly with young children and family groups. AG Studio is based in Broadstairs, Kent, but I’m happy to travel across the UK for family commissions.
