I’m Claire, a Bradford-based freelance photographer with over a decade of professional experience and a First Class BA (Hons) in Photography. Family photography is one of my core specialisms — I love helping families record real moments that feel natural, unscripted and full of personality. Whether it’s toddlers laughing in the park, teenagers being themselves, or multi-generation portraits, my aim is simple: to capture how you are together, not staged versions of you. My approach is relaxed and candid. I often work with a longer lens which allows me to sit back and photograph genuine interactions without getting in the way. That longer perspective creates warm, authentic images — the tiny gestures, cheeky grins and unscripted connections that make family photos meaningful. Sessions are always tailor-made to suit your children’s ages, routines and personalities, so we plan a location and pace that keeps everyone comfortable and enjoying the session. I understand that working with children needs patience, experience and a calm presence. Before we shoot I’ll chat with you about what you want from the photos, what your kids enjoy and any practicalities, so the day runs smoothly. Many of my family jobs have included leisure centres, parks, school activities and community events, so I’m used to capturing different environments and lighting conditions while keeping kids relaxed and engaged. Practical care and professionalism matter to me. I hold an enhanced DBS, carry professional spare kit, and use high-quality camera equipment so your session won’t be compromised by technical issues. After the shoot I prepare your images for viewing in a password-protected online gallery and deliver both high-resolution files for prints and low-resolution versions for web use via your preferred method (Dropbox, WeTransfer or email).
