The purpose‑built Northbourne studio (fondly known as the “Tardis”) is equipped with a range of backdrops, a makeup/changing area, and props such as trampolines, giant bean bags and big bouncy balls to help children feel at ease. Pets are welcome and sessions can accommodate extended families—up to 15 people—so you can create wall‑worthy portraits that reflect your family’s personality. My style mixes natural, documentary moments with polished studio portraits. I’ll guide you through poses and keep things light and fun (I may bribe the kids with M&Ms if needed), but I also shoot carefully lit formal images perfect for prints and canvases. All sittings are private and by appointment, and I’ll edit your images to ensure they look their best before they appear in your personal online gallery. How it works: we talk beforehand about what you want—casual lifestyle shots, baby portraits, The Box montages or full family group images—and I plan the session to get the best variety of keepsakes. In‑studio facilities include a comfortable waiting/refreshment area and a changing/makeup space so outfit changes are easy. After the shoot your proofs are uploaded to a secure gallery where you can choose favourites and order high‑resolution files or finished products. While family portraiture is my primary focus, I also offer related sittings such as newborn, baby and children’s portfolio sessions when needed.
