Hello — I’m James from Prescott Photography, a family photographer based in Bognor Regis. I specialise in capturing the small, honest moments that make family life so special: playful mornings with the kids, quiet newborn cuddles, and relaxed portraits that show your family exactly as you are. Whether you prefer an on-location shoot — a walk on the beach, a ramble in the woods or time at your favourite park — or a classic look in my portable studio, I tailor each session to your family’s personality. Interaction is at the heart of my approach: I guide playful prompts and gentle direction so I capture authentic expressions rather than stiff poses. I understand the rhythms of family life. On-location family sessions usually take 1–2 hours depending on group size and the children’s personalities, and I stay as long as I need to get the images I know you’ll treasure. For newborn portraiture I recommend careful timing: sessions work best between around 5–14 days after birth and I allow 2–3 hours so we can work slowly and comfortably around feeds, changes and cuddles. Maternity shoots are also available for those wanting to include this special stage in their family story. I also run children’s portrait parties across West Sussex and Hampshire — a fun, efficient way to capture portraits for groups and birthdays, with prints available for attendees and a complimentary print package for the host. From your first enquiry through to delivery, I focus on making the whole experience simple and enjoyable. We’ll plan the location and style together so the session reflects you, and I’ll hand-edit every image to ensure a consistent, timeless finish.
