Creative Portraits is a specialist family photography studio based on Highfield Rd, Blackpool. Led by Steve Smith with newborn expert Kirsty supporting baby and children sessions, we focus on capturing the relaxed, authentic moments that make your family unique. With more than a decade of professional experience, our approach is gentle, down-to-earth and designed to put everyone at ease — even those who say they "hate having their photo taken." Our shoots are informal and fun: we guide and suggest, but always work with the natural interactions, smiles and tiny details that tell your family's story. Kirsty's specialist newborn training and paediatric first-aid certification mean baby sessions are handled with extra care and attention; parents often comment on how comfortable and calm the studio feels during a newborn or baby session. How we work: it starts with a short 10-minute planning call so we can tailor the session to your needs — outfits, children’s temperaments and any props or heirlooms you want to include. On the day, enjoy a relaxed studio experience where we take our time to coax natural reactions and playful moments. After the shoot you return for a dedicated viewing and ordering session; we present your images in Ultra HD and help you choose the prints, wall art or Fine Art options that will look best in your home. Our expertise covers family portraits, baby, newborn and children photography, with a Fine Art portrait option for those who want a more classic look. While family photography is our core specialism, we also welcome pets in studio sessions and offer occasional headshot and studio hire services — always keeping family work at the heart of what we do. Based in Blackpool and serving the Fylde Coast, Creative Portraits is built around warmth, professionalism and a friendly studio atmosphere (“the kettle’s always on”).
