I’m Rachel — a Birkenhead-based family photographer with a single, stubborn goal: to freeze the small, everyday moments you’ll miss before you know it. My work is built around a love of simplicity and connection. I search for honest smiles, tiny hands tucked into yours, and those quiet in-between moments that tell your family’s story without loud poses or forced smiles. Why choose me? Whether we’re using the soft, neutral light of my Wallasey studio (a converted stable with parking right outside and plenty of tea and coffee) or chasing golden-hour light in an outdoor location, my intention is the same: create timeless, wall-worthy images you’ll reach for again and again. My approach is gentle, practical and personal. Sessions begin with a pre-shoot conversation so I can learn about your family, what you love, and which images will mean the most. On the day, I create a relaxed atmosphere — you’re welcome to use the growing studio wardrobe, sit back with a cuppa, and let your family be themselves. For outdoor family shoots I specialise in golden-hour sessions across the Wirral, capturing warm, natural light and playful moments that feel effortless. After the shoot you’ll receive a private gallery viewing where we choose the images that best tell your story. I believe photographs should live on your walls, so I can guide you towards prints, albums and wall art (professionally printed and handcrafted) if you’d like to turn your images into heirloom pieces. My editing style is clean and classic — neutral tones, soft light and an emphasis on connection — so your photographs still feel as emotive in ten years as they do the day you hang them. I consider it an honour to document family life — the chaos, the cuddles, the laughter.
