I’m Jamie — a Banbury-based family photographer who specialises in relaxed, candid family photography that feels natural and timeless. My background in street photography and the experience of raising my own children taught me to recognise and freeze those small, fleeting moments that really matter: the laugh between siblings, the quiet smile as a baby drifts to sleep, the way parents look at one another. I bring that eye for emotion to every family session. My approach is unobtrusive and friendly. I aim to create a calm atmosphere so everyone — from newborns to teenagers — can be themselves. Sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home, in a favourite local spot or at one of the picturesque locations I often work in across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the Cotswolds. Before your shoot we’ll have a relaxed pre-shoot call to get to know each other, talk about wardrobe and locations, and make sure the session reflects your family’s personality. I specialise in capturing genuine connection rather than stiff poses. That means a mix of candid documentary-style images and a little gentle guidance where needed to create beautiful family portraits you’ll want to display. After the shoot I carefully edit each selected image, delivering polished, natural photographs ready for prints, albums or online sharing.
